  2. Our group's Montgomery Civil Rights tour was the highlight of our travel down to Alabama. Jake was our wonderful guide, who gave us a great overview of Montgomery's history and its importance in the civil rights movement. His first-hand account of the Selma March and description of Montgomery during that time made the situation more real and personal to us. He did a great job of pointing out various sites of interest, too. Anyone who wants to know more about history should take this tour--with Jake!

  3. Jake is more than a tour guide, he's a local who has a keen interest in the history of his town. He was generous with his time, particularly as the day of our tour Museum opening times were changed due to a tornado warning. He seems to know everyone personally and was able to get everything rearranged so we missed nothing. I felt extremely safe, he looking after my teenage daughter & myself like a concerned uncle. Jake know everything about Civil Rights and even introduced us to some of the key players!

  4. Jake W. was perhaps the best part of our trip to Montgomery. We were fortunate enough to have a small group and Jake welcomed us as if we were his own family in from out of town. He was extremely prompt (1 hour early)and never seemed concerned about wrapping up the tour. Jake has a wealth of personal knowledge of the region and the movement. Jake also astonished us with his overall knowledge of history and how history impacts the future as well as how we live currently.

  5. Jake was amazing! He is very knowledgeable about the Civil Rights era in Montgomery and his passion kept us engaged. He was professional, patient, pleasant and an encyclopedia of information. I definitely recommend using his services while touring Montgomery. It would take days to find all the sites we visited on our own and his insider insights were a plus!

  6. Hello Jake. Colin and Jeremy from Australia. You took us on your amazing tour at the end of 2015. I was thinking of you today as I watched the movie Selma. I cried throughout the movie at the great injustices of the past and clearly what are still being experienced to this day. I pray that God will bring justice in due time. Trust you are well. You were the best memory we have of our trip to the states.
